San Antonio nonprofits are sending food and supplies to help the survivors of Hurricane Ida in Louisiana. The San Antonio Food Bank sent a truck full of water, fruit, snacks, and cleaning supplies to Louisiana on Tuesday. The San Antonio Salvation Army also sent a team to the storm-damaged state, to prepare meals for evacuees, first responders, and volunteers. The San Antonio Humane Society has taken in a group of 16 dogs, and expects to receive about 100 pets evacuated from Louisiana today.
