Texas Congressman Involved In Push To Rein In Vaping

The pandemic is putting a spotlight on the dangers of nicotine, with smokers more likely to be hospitalized for the coronavirus. There's now a bipartisan push in Congress to reel in youth vaping. GOP Congressman Mike Cloud of Texas co-chaired a hearing this week, urging the FDA to act. Vaping companies need pre-market approval, which is due by September. Studies show more than 20-percent of high schoolers vape, which Cloud says has a detrimental effect on developing brains.
