Texas Lt. Governor Patrick Blames House Speaker For Democratic Walk-Out

Texas leaders are upset with how the final hours of the State's Legislative session closed on Sunday night. Democrats walked out to prevent a vote on a bill they claim suppresses Texas voters, and Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick is blaming Republican House Speaker Dade Phelan for allowing it to happen. Democrats claim the bill gives Texans less time at voting polls, prevents voting by mail, and gives poll watchers too much power. Patrick says Democratic claims of voter suppression are false, and says he's confident the governor will call a special session and pass SB 7 into law.
