Texas House Gives Initial OK To Bill Upgrading Electricity Infrastructure

The Texas House is giving its initial approval to a bill to shore up the state's power grid and infrastructure. The bill is in response to the February winter storm and the deadly widespread power outages it caused. Legislators passed Senate Bill 3 on Sunday. If the House gives its final approval to the bill, it goes back to the Senate, where members will decide whether to accept changes made by the House. If that's ironed out in this session's remaining week, the bill will go to Gov. Greg Abbott's desk for his signature.
