Austin-Travis County: Masks Recommended, But Not Mandated

Austin-Travis County are now recommending masks, but not mandating them. Interim Health Authority Dr. Mark Escott announced the new recommendations today, saying it's very important for people to get the COVID shot. He says masks are still an important part in slowing the spread of coronavirus among those who have not gotten the vaccine. Austin-Travis County originally mandated masks earlier this week before Texas Governor Greg Abbott issued an executive order saying mandates couldn't happen.
