Longhorns AD Shows Support Of Student-Athletes Getting Paid

The debate to allow college-athletes in Texas to get paid for their own image and likeness is continuing in the State House. University of Texas Athletic Director Chris Del Conte says he supports the bill that would allow players to get paid. Del Conte claims it would help all Texas schools in recruiting student-athletes. Eight states have already passed similar bills, and 35 other states, including Texas, are considering the legislation. Del Conte says there's no reason an art major who happens to play sports can't sell his art to make an extra buck.
