The Texas Department of Transportation says a stretch of I-10 near Boerne will be closed for much of this weekend for roadwork. The freeway will be shut down in both directions between Scenic Loop and Highway 46, known locally as Bandera Road. TxDOT says the closure will be in effect from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Weather permitting, work crews will demolish the U.S. Highway 87 bridge. Detours for traffic will be available.
