Immigrants' Rights Advocates Call For Transparency On Conditions At Freeman

San Antonio immigrants' rights advocates are calling for elected officials to be more transparent about conditions at Freeman Coliseum. Organizers from the Texas Organizing Project, SA Stands, the Immigrant Legal Resource Center, and other groups spoke out on Sunday after a tour of the coliseum, which Congressman Joaquin Castro had arranged. More than 18-hundred illegal immigrant children are being housed at the coliseum's Expo Hall. Gov. Greg Abbott reported claims of sexual abuse, understaffing and coronavirus concerns at the facility last week.
