Texas Rangers Set Pandemic-Era Attendance Record With Home Opener

The Rangers are boasting of the biggest attendance at a U.S. sporting event since the start of the pandemic. Monday night's home opener drew a crowd of 38,238 fans to Globe Life Field. Since the arena holds 40,300, Monday's attendance was announced as a sellout. By contrast, this year's capacity-limited Super bowl drew 25,000 fans. The Rangers are the only MLB team open at 100% capacity. The visiting Toronto Blue Jays won the game, 6-2.
