Houston Gas Explosion Destroys House, Damages Several Others

No injuries are reported after a gas explosion and fire that destroyed one house and damaged three others in southeast Houston on Sunday. The blast happened at about 11 a.m. at a home on Doulton Drive near Bellfort. Fire officials haven't determined the cause of the explosion, but the homeowner, 82-year-old Jewell Meyers, said she smelled gas and went next door to her neighbor's house shortly before her home blew up. The Red Cross is helping the families affected by the explosion.
