A homeless man found himself inside a trash truck early this morning and was finally rescued after the driver heard him screaming for help.
It happened on Bandera Road near Bristlecone Street at about 5 this morning.
He had apparently been sleeping in a dumpster when the trash truck emptied the contents into the truck. After hearing his screams, the driver called 9-1-1. Firefighters were able to get him out quickly. He was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
