Extension Granted For Drivers To Update Expired Vehicle Registrations

The state is extending the date for drivers to renew their expired vehicle registrations. The extension comes as part of the COVID-19 relief considerations due to shutdowns and other restrictions that have kept people home. The extension lasts nine months beyond the expiration date. However, drivers still have to apply to get a new sticker that says 2021 on it. It's possible to renew in HEB and Fiesta Mart stores as well as on Texas.gov homepage.
