Family members are identifying the two victims of an apartment fire in Fredericksburg over the weekend. 15-year-old Azalyia Hernandez and her friend, 16-year-old Eliza Maurer, were both sophomores at Fredericksburg High School. The fire broke out shortly after 5 a.m. Sunday in a unit of the Ten19 Apartments on Friendship Lane. Firefighters and police officers found the two girls dead inside the apartment. Investigators say their probable cause of death is smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
