Fort Hood Designing New Memory Gate Dedicated To Vanessa Guillen

Fort Hood officials are planning to build a memory gate in honor of Vanessa Guillen. Guillen's family members were at the central Texas post on Tuesday to meet with Fort Hood leaders concerning the design of the gate.

Lt. Gen. Pat White the Third, commanding general at Fort hood, says the gate should be finished in a few months. He says it will lead to the 3rd Calvary Regiment area, where Guillen served. The 20-year-old soldier from Houston was murdered in April.
