Former Top Paxton Aide Fired After Accusing Him Of Bribery

A top aide of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton who accused him of bribery and abuse of his office is now out of a job. Lacey Mase confirmed to the media on Tuesday evening that she has been fired. She was hired in 2011 and worked her way up to the position of deputy attorney general for administration. Mase and several other employees in Paxton's office claimed he had abused his power in favor of a political donor, Nate Paul. Another top Paxton aide has since resigned, and a third has been placed on leave.
