Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Plan To Travel To The U.K. For Christmas

Home for the holidays!

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly planning their first trip back to the United Kingdom since they moved to the United States earlier this year. As per royal family tradition, the Sussexes want to spend Christmas at Sandringham with Queen Elizabeth as they've done in the past.

"There’s a lot of tradition surrounding the holidays with his family, and they both have really loved that in the past,"a source explained to Us Weekly. "With the uncertainty of COVID, they have been taking it one day at a time and are hopeful that they can all go back together and spend it as a family."

When Harry and Meghan moved abroad after completing their final royal engagements, they didn't plan on staying away from the Duke of Sussex's home country for as long as they have. Like so many other people, they've have had to curb travel plans due to the ongoing pandemic. If they do plan on spending the holidays with the royals, they will likely have to quarantine for two weeks before seeing them.

“Time will tell if that will need to happen and if it could potentially impact what they do and when, but they are all eager to get back to spend time with Harry’s family and for Archie to see his great-grandmother and great-grandfather [Prince Philip] in particular,” the source continued.

While video-chatting has kept the royals in touch over the past several months, Harry and Meghan are hoping Archie will be able to spend time with his family in person soon."They have so much fun over Zoom, and they have bonded through Zoom calls," the source added. "Harry is so close with his grandmother, and he is excited to get Archie back [to London] so that they can see her."
