Solider Shot By Military Police On Fort Bliss

A Fort Bliss soldier is recovering after getting shot by military police in an incident on base. In a statement yesterday afternoon, Allie Payne with the Fort Bliss Public Affairs office said the infantryman had called for a ride share before sunrise Tuesday. The driver noted the soldier was agitated which prompted a call to the MPs who said the soldier pointed a gun at them so they shot him. He was in stable condition in an El Paso hospital yesterday afternoon. The incident is still under investigation by the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command.
