Judge Orders Texas To Change Method Of Rejecting Mail-In Ballots

A federal judge is ordering Texas officials to change the way the state rejects mail-in ballots because of signature violations. U.S. District Judge Orlando Garcia ruled the current process is unconstitutional because voters aren't given a chance to correct problems. The judge gave the Texas Secretary of State ten days to change the process so as to protect the voting rights of people who cast their ballots by mail. The deadline to apply for a mail-in ballot at the county office is October 23rd.
