Human Case Of West Nile Virus In Travis County

Someone in Travis County is dealing with West Nile virus. Austin Public Health says the person living in the northern part of the county tested positive yesterday. It's the first case of West Nile this year in the county. People are encouraged to use bug spray, drain standing water, and limit times outdoors. Mosquito pools with West Nile have been reported in Travis and Williamson counties.
