Buffalo Soldier's National Museum In Houston Vandalized

Vandals have defaced the building where the Buffalo Soldiers National Museum is housed in Houston.

Someone painted an apparent swastika and other things on the outside of the building.

Desmond Bertrand-Pitts, CEO of the museum and the founder’s grandson posted on Facebook that the vandalism happened between Monday and Tuesday of this week. Tuesday was National Buffalo Soldiers Day.

In addition to the apparent swastika, the vandals tried to paint the words “Democratic Party” but misspelled "Democratic."

The museum, founded in 2001, is dedicated to honoring the legacy of African American soldiers.

Police are investigating the vandalism.
