Harlandale ISD Teachers Want Extended Time Of Remote Learning

Harlandale ISD teachers say they're not ready to get back into the classroom just yet. In a gathering at Harlandale Memorial Stadium on Sunday, they expressed their concerns about returning to campus this fall during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Metropolitan Health issued a directive on Friday stating that San Antonio school districts can't reopen for face-to-face teaching until after September 7th. The Harlandale Education Association's president said they're asking the state to allow them to do 100-percent remote learning until the virus numbers go down substantially.
