Local NAACP Chief Praises SAPD Handling Of Protests

The president of the local chapter of the NAACP says the San Antonio Police handled the weekend's unrest well. Dr. Gregory Hudspeth says he rode along with San Antonio Police Chief William McManus starting at about 8 p.m., as protests got underway downtown. Hudspeth says the Black Lives Matter protest at Travis Park included some people who wanted to start trouble. He says the police on the scene kept clashing groups apart and maintained peace.
