San Antonio Archdiocese Extends Pandemic Measures To Mid-May

Churches in the Archdiocese of San Antonio will observe coronavirus cautionary measures until May 18th. Archbishop Gustavo Garcia-Siller announced that churches will still observe social distancing and limits on gatherings to ten people or fewer. Garcia-Siller says public celebration of the Mass is suspended, and he encourages priests to livestream. He said the extended observation of these measures is consistent with forecasts that indicate the coronavirus peak in Texas may not happen before mid-May.
