San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg says an additional 59 patients have now tested positive for COVID-19 at the Southeast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
There had already been eight resident cases confirmed at the facility along with 6 workers. In all, 67 patients have now tested positive. There were more than 90 patients in the home at the time the outbreak began. Eleven tests have come back negative with two additional tests coming back inconclusive.
City and county officials say this points out the alarming concerns they have about the risk to nursing home patients.
