Crockett Hotel Shuts Down TFN Because Of Slow Business During Outbreak

The Crockett Hotel is closing down till further notice because of severely reduced occupancy brought on by the coronavirus pandemic. Less than two months ago, the 110-year-old hotel near the Alamo was enjoying good business as the spring travel season drew near. General Manager Bill Brendel says occupancy fell to the point that keeping the hotel open wasn't sustainable. San Antonio's hotel industry has been hard hit by the virus, and the city has lost about 35-million-dollars because of canceled meetings and conventions.
