Texans Can Now Have Alcoholic Beverages Delivered With Food Orders

Texans ordering food for delivery from restaurants can now order alcoholic beverages to go with it. Governor Greg Abbott issued a waiver that will enable customers to order beer, wine or mixed drinks from eateries with the appropriate permits, as long as the customers are also buying food. He also directed the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission to allow the sales of unopened product back to manufacturers and wholesalers of alcoholic beverages. The aim is to lighten the load on restaurant-owners who are shut down for now.
