Child Sex Assault Suspect Rearrested After Release Despite State Warrant

A child sex assault suspect is back in custody after the Bexar County Jail released him before they knew he had another outstanding warrant. Police arrested 33-year-old Pedro Gonzales on Monday at a home in Floresville. BCSO officials say Gonzales was properly released on bond, because it wasn't until afterwards that the Texas Department of Public Safety let them know that another warrant for his arrest hadn't been entered in either the state or federal criminal databases. Gonzales's release is therefore not considered erroneous.
