Continental AG

A manufacturer of automotive parts is planning to build a new plant in New Braunfels. Continental AG makes tires, brake systems, interior electronics, and other car parts. The company will invest 100-million-dollars into the New Braunfels plant, which will produce radar sensors for emergency brake assist, blind-spot monitoring, and other safety-related systems. Continental makes similar devices at plants in Seguin and in Germany. The New Braunfels plant will create at least 130 jobs and retain more than 400.
