Cedar Park Police Search For Missing Woman's Remains

Accident or crime scene cordon tape

Police detectives in Cedar Park think a missing woman is dead and are looking for her remains. Officers performed a welfare check at the Cypress Lane home of Amanda Gordon on Thursday. Family members reported they had not heard from her in several days. Gordon was not at the home and her common law husband Samuel Byrd got arrested for drug possession. In a media event on Saturday, Cedar Park Assistant Police Chief Mike Harmon said the case has been changed to a homicide investigation and that officers are looking for Gordon's remains.
