Officials provide details on mass shooting in Greenville, Texas

"It was complete chaos" the moment the first shot was fired at a Halloween homecoming party in Greenville, Texas. That's how Hunt County Sheriff Randy Meeks described the situation overnight. Two people are dead and 14 more are wounded, 12 of which suffered gunshot wounds. The party was for Texas A&M Commerce, but was not a sanctioned event. It's believed up to 700 people were packed inside. The sheriff says the gunman walked through a back entrance and possibly targeted one of those killed before shooting people at random. Most of the victims are said to be in their late teens to early 20s with up to five of them being students. The gun used was first believed to be a semi-automatic rifle but has since been confirmed as a handgun.

The Hunt County Sheriff's Office is working with the Texas Rangers and FBI to conduct its investigation. Sheriff Meeks says witnesses are still not cooperating and a suspect description hasn't been determined. He also says there is no surveillance video of the shooting.
