New Braunfels Man Gets 80 Months for Child Porn

A New Braunfels man will be calling a federal prison cell home for the next 80 months, after he was sentenced for possession of child pornography, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Federal prosecutors say Banjamin Bogard, 20, was found with 'visual descriptions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct' on his computer and phone.

Bogard pleaded guilty to charges of 'possession of obscene visual representations of the sexual abuse of children.'

"“We are grateful that the court recognized the serious threat the defendant poses to the safety of the public. Testimony and evidence presented in this case demonstrated the defendant’s fixation with committing

barbaric and inhumane acts of violence against children and others," FBI Special Agent in Charge Christopher Combs said.

Officials urged the public to quickly report any instances they find of violence or sexual fascination directed at children.
