Six people are hospitalized, one with injuries which are considered life threatening, following a one vehicle accident in south Bexar County overnight, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Sheriff's spokesman Deputy Johnny Garcia says a woman who was driving southbound on I-35 near Kinney Rd. said she 'saw something in the roadway' and swerved to avoid it.
She lost control of her SUV, skidded off the highway and rolled down the embankment, flipping over several times.
Three adults and three children were in the vehicle. One adult was transported by Airlife in critical conditon, the other five were transported by ground ambulance in less serious condition.
The wreck forced the busy highway to be shut down for several hours.
