A Sutherland Springs church where a gunman killed 26 people in 2017 has dedicated its new worship center. The new First Baptist Church sanctuary was packed today as worshipers and relatives of those killed or injured gathered at the newly constructed church. The names of those who died were read at today's ceremony. Pastor Frank Pomeroy led the ceremony, introducing several guest speakers, including Gov. Greg Abbott and Sen. John Cornyn.
The new building features enhanced security elements and a memorial room to honor the victims. It's located next door to the old church where the massacre took place.
