Woman Dead After Struggle With Officer

UPDATE:

Police near Houston do not believe a woman shot to death by an officer was pregnant. Baytown police confirmed today Pamela Turner was not with child despite video showing the woman yelling she was pregnant before a bullet hit her. A spokesperson says Turner got into a fight with an officer last night after he tried to take her into custody on outstanding warrants. She is accused of using the cop's stun gun on him before being killed. The officer is on administrative leave.

Earlier report:

A pregnant woman is dead after being shot by an officer trying to arrest her at an apartment complex outside Houston. Baytown Police said the incident happened around 10:40 last night in which the officer was patrolling the complex and came across the 45-year-old woman who he knew had outstanding warrants. In an attempt to arrest her, a struggle ensued and the officer used his taser on the woman, but as he attempted to handcuff her, she grabbed his taser and used it on the officer. That led to the officer grabbing his gun and firing multiple rounds at the woman, striking her at least once. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witness video of the shooting has been circulated on social media and the woman can be heard saying she's pregnant. The woman's name and the officer's name haven't been released.
