DeMar DeRozan Leads Spurs past Hawks

The Spurs closed the 4th quarter on a 28-13 run over the last 9:25 to earn a 117-111 victory over the Hawks tonight in San Antonio. DeMar DeRozan led the Spurs with 29 points (7-11 FG), to go with 7 rebounds and 7 assists, while Derrick White added 23 points (10-12 FG), 4 rebounds and 2 blocks in the victory. Kent Bazemore led the Hawks with 26 points (10-16 FG), along with 4 rebounds, while Alex Len recorded 21 points (7-11 FG), 5 rebounds and 3 assists in the losing effort. With the win, the Spurs improve to 45-33, while the Hawks fall to 28-50 on the season.

The Spurs currently sit in the 7-seed in the Western Conference over the 8-seed Thunder (despite identical records) by virtue of winning the head-to-head tiebreaker. Additionally, the Spurs are 2.0 games behind the 6-seed Clippers.
