Texas is suing a storage company for a massive fire at a Houston-area complex. Attorney General Ken Paxton says Intercontinental Terminals Company violated the Texas Clear Air Act when flames broke out last Sunday at its Deer Park facility. Flames briefly rekindled today but have now been put out. Paxton's suit also says ITC needs to be held accountable for releasing chemicals, including benzene, into the air. Texas is seeking injunctive relief and civil penalties and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality noted addition penalties for surface water quality may also be filed. The federal government is also investigating.
