Judge: No Texas Voter Roll Removal, Unless Obviously Disqualified

A federal judge is ordering Texas counties to not remove anyone from their voter rolls, unless they are obviously disqualified. The judge ruled today local election officials could look into a voter's eligibility but is not allowed to ask voters to prove they are citizens. The judge also denied a request from the state to dismiss the suit. LULAC sued Texas last month shortly after Attorney General Ken Paxton claimed the Secretary of State found thousands of non-citizens were registered to vote.
