Deputies Forced to Taze Fleeing Suspect

Bexar County Sheriff's Deputies were forced to use a Taser early today to arrest a suspect who led them on a wild chase across the southwest side, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Deputies patrolling the area of I-35 near Shepard Road got a call for a stolen car, and spotted the vehicle traveling northbound on 35.

When the deputy turned on his lights and siren and tried to stop the vehicle, it sped away, turning onto Loop 410, and existing onto a nearby side street.

Deputies say the suspect then attempted to run away, but was tazed and taken into custody.

The suspect is expected to face charges of vehicle theft, and evading arrest.
