A woman was shot to death today, as she sat in her own bedroom in a home on the city's northeast side, News rAdio 1200 WOAI reports.
"There were two young men in their mid teens sitting in the driveway," Police Chief Bill McManus said. "A car drove by, turned around, and started shooting. The victim was hit even though she was inside the house."
He says there were several shell casings found in the street.
The victim was shot in the chest and managed to stumble outside where she died.
"This is not a random shooting," McManus said
.He says the two teens in the driveway, and a girl who was inside, are giving statements to detectives. The car containing the gunmen sped away.
