Tropical Storm Lane is not letting up on Hawaii. Authorities are prepared for more flooding as well as landslides and other hazards as the former hurricane moves closer to the shoreline. The storm has already pounded the Big Island with heavy rain, severe flooding and powerful winds. Forecasters say Lane will make its nearest approach to land this weekend, bringing severe weather to Maui and Oahu. Governor David Ige said last night that they anticipate lots of rain from Lane in the coming hours. He said travelers should expect congestion at the airports this weekend from the backlog of canceled flights.
