Florida Is In A State Of Emergency As Subtropical Storm Alberto Approaches

Storm Alert

Florida Governor Rick Scott is declaring a state of emergency as Subtropical Storm Alberto closes in on the sunshine state.  All 67 counties in Florida are included in the declaration.  In a statement, Scott said, "As we  continue to monitor Subtropical Storm Alberto's northward path toward Florida, it is critically important that all Florida counties have every available resource to keep families safe and  prepare for the torrential rain and severe flooding this storm will  bring."  Alberto is predicted to travel across the eastern Gulf of  Mexico tonight and should make landfall Monday night.  It's expected to  bring heavy rains of over ten inches and flash flooding in Cuba and  southern Florida.  Tornados are also a possibility over the Florida Keys and in southwestern Florida.
