Doctor Charged in Murders of Couple in Guadalupe County

Guadalupe County officials say a Seguin physician, Robert E. Fadal, 56, has been charged with Capital Murder of Multiple Persons in connection with the shooting death of a young couple in rural Guadalupe County, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

County Jail records show Robert E. Fadal II, 56, is held on $2 million surety bond.

Deputies accuse Fadal of shooting a 30 year old man and his 27 year old wife with a rifle as they helped relatives move furniture on family property along the Guadalupe River near Lake McQueeny.

Deputies say they have no motive to report about what may have prompted the shooting.

They say there had been no argument or bad blood between the suspect and the victims, who lived in the same area.  Detectives aren't even sure the suspect and the victims knew each other.
