US Marshals opened fire on a suspect in a quiet Terrell Heights neighborhood today after the man raggravatedmmed marshals with his car, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Marshals spotted John Carlos Alvear, 34, at a motel on Austin Highway but he jumped into his car and sped away, ramming a marshals vehicle during the pursuit.
Police Officer Douglas Greene days when Alvear made threatening moves, the Marshals shot him several times. He is hospitalized but will survive.
He will face charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, evading arrest, and domestic assault.
Officials said Alvear was not armed, but his aggressive actions, including assaulting the Marshals with his car, made the use of deadly force inevitable.
