North Texas School Shooting Leaves 15 Year Old Girl Wounded

A 16 year old boy shot and wounded a 15 year old girl in the high school cafeteria in the small town of Italy, which is in Ellis County south of Dallas today, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

"They had all the kids come out from the cafeteria, all holding them together, with their hands on their shoulders," one girl said.  "They took everybody to the dome."

The 'dome' is the high school gymnasium.

No word on whether the boy, who was immediately arrested, intended to shoot that specific girl, or whether he started firing randomly.

The Superintendent, Lee Joffre, says the schools were immediatlely locked down."We are working with Region 10, to make sure we have grief counseling available to our students," he said.The girl is hospitalized, but her condition was not immediately known.
