It was a rude welcome to their new home for a northwest side woman and her kids early today, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police got a frantic call from the woman in the 9400 block of Land's Point, which is near Loop 1604 and Braun Rd, that gunmen were attempting to force their way into her home.
When officers arrived , they found evidence that shots had been fired in front and in back of the home, and the back patio door had been smashed.
The woman told police she and her kids had just moved into the house.
Nobody in the home was hurt and no suspects were arrested.
Police say whoever did it may have been looking for somebody else.
