A driver is clinging to life after a grinding one vehicle accident just northwest of downtown early today, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say a motorist was driving eastbound on Culebra Rd about 1AM when he lost control of his car...skidded across the four lane road, and smashed into a bus bench.
Fire crews had to cut him out of the wreckage, and the victim was rushed to SAMMC in extremely critical condition.
Police are investigating what caused the crash, including whether the driver may have suffered some sort of medical episode before losing control of his car.
