Amid reports the San Antonio Stars basketball team is set to move to Las Vegas, Spurs Sports & Entertainment confirms negotiations have been underway with a buyer to purchase and relocate the team.
SS&E issued a message to fans on Thursday night thanking them for their support over the past 15 years. The Utah Starzz were one of the eight original WNBA teams when the league launched in the summer of 1997. After six seasons in Salt Lake City the franchise relocated to San Antonio in December, 2002.
