Deputies Break Up a Second Robbery Scheme Where Victims Were Lured by Sex

For the second time in two days, Bexar County detectives have broken up a ring involving luring men for the promise of sex, to set them up to be robbed, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Deputies say two people, Tabreya Williams, 22, and Darrian Roberts, 20, are under arrest in connection with the incident, and three more people are being sought.

Detectives say on August 30, a man contacted a woman he made via an ad in 'backpage.com,' which is site known for its advertisements for prostitutes.

When the man answered at the door for what he thought was the woman, several people rushed in, beat up the man, and held him at gunpoint while others ransacked the apartment.  Another man who was asleep on the couch was also robbed.

Deputies arrested the pair at an apartment in the 3900 block of Barrington, which is off Starcrest Dr. on the northeast side, and arrested the two, and also discovered items that were stolen from the victim's apartment.

The two are charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

Deputies arrested two people in a very similar but unconnected scheme on Tuesday.
