AGAIN: Shooting Victim Refuses to Cooperate with Police

It's the same old sad story on the city's south side overnight, a man who was shot refusing to provide detectives with any information that could help them solve the crime, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Police say the 34 year old man was found shot next to his car on Sussex Ave, which is not far from Harlandale Park.

But as the man, who suffered non life threatening wounds, was being loaded into the ambulance, detectives say he declined to provide them with any details on who shot him, or why.

Police Chief Bill McManus said last week that a big barrier to dealing with the spike in violent crime being experienced in San Antonio is the unwillingness of witnesses and victims to provide police with the information needed to solve the cases.

Largely due to the victim's attitude, police have no suspects and no motive for the shooting.
