Governor Says 3,000 National Guard Members Activated

Texas Governor Greg Abbott says the priority is saving lives and protecting human life.  He told reporters today the state has activated three-thousand national and state guard members to aid in helping rescue flood victims as a result of Tropical Storm Harvey.  The governor says 600 boats are being used in the rescue effort around the Houston region as rain totals continue to rise.  The governor says more heavy rainfall is expected tonight.  He's urging residents to remain indoors and stay off the roadways.
